Public gets First Look at Boulevard Boardwalk

Bellingham residents were recently able to view and discuss plans for the Boulevard boardwalk, a pedestrian walkway which aims to increase park accessibility to pedestrians.

In a recent article by Kie Relyea of the Bellingham Herald, details regarding project costs and schedules were discussed. The environmental impacts study, led by Reid Middleton, was also mentioned in the article,

"Reid Middleton presenters also talked about the walkway's impact on marine habitat. Eelgrass, which is critical for marine life including salmon, is just off the shores of Boulevard Park. That is driving the shape of the walkway, which is being designed with as little impact as possible to the eelgrass. After the presentation, Reid Middleton fielded questions and concerns from the audience."

"Reid Middleton is one of those firms that most public agencies hope to do business with for most of their projects. It is quite evident to me how genuine this firm is by the employees that represent them."
